Established in 2010 by Charbel El Fakhri and Walid Habchi, two active wine growers from Deir El Ahmar, Couvent Rouge has grown to become a major player in the Lebanese wine industry. The team at Couvent Rouge consists of 14 employees and growing, including experienced winemakers, vineyard managers, and sales and marketing professionals. They also work with more than 30 people on a seasonal basis, creating job opportunities for the youth of the village and supporting the local economy.
Our team is committed to producing the highest quality wines possible, using sustainable and organic farming practices and modern winemaking techniques. We are constantly experimenting with different grape varietals and blends to create unique and memorable wines that showcase the terroir of Deir El Ahmar. In addition to our dedication to winemaking, the team at Couvent Rouge is also committed to supporting the local community. We work closely with local farmers and suppliers, especially during the harvest.
