Our Story

Couvent Rouge is a dynamic and innovative winery, that bears the name of it’s native Lebanese village, Deir El Ahmar. Situated in the North-west of the Bekaa Valley, a few kilometers away from the temple of Bacchus, at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level, the village provides ideal climate and soil for vine growing.

Established in 2010, the winery is committed to producing exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of the region. With an annual production of 500 000 bottles, Couvent Rouge offers a range of wines that cater to different tastes and budgets, from entry-level to high-end wines.

Couvent Rouge is also committed to social responsibility and sustainability. The winery has transformed former cannabis crops into vineyards, supporting the local community and promoting responsible agriculture. The winery is also dedicated to employing and training local workers and promoting tourism in the region.
